Rehabilitation

Rehabilitation physiotherapy after surgery, injury or stroke

Recovery does not end when you leave the hospital. At Endrophin we guide patients through structured rehabilitation after knee and hip replacement, fractures and spine surgery, and after neurological conditions such as stroke and Bell’s palsy.

Dr. Bhawana Aggarwal (PT) has worked at the Indian Spinal Injury Centre, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital and Maharaja Agrasen Hospital, so she is used to surgeons’ protocols and complex cases. Each programme follows your surgeon’s or neurologist’s advice and moves at a pace that is safe for you.

What we treat

Rehabilitation we offer

Knee replacement physiotherapy

We work on bending and straightening the new knee, reducing swelling, strengthening the thigh and hip, and getting you walking, climbing stairs and sitting comfortably, following your surgeon’s protocol.

Hip replacement rehabilitation

Safe movement within your hip precautions, walking practice, strengthening and balance work help you progress from walker to stick to walking on your own.

Post-operative physiotherapy at the clinic

After ligament reconstruction, arthroscopy, shoulder or spine surgery, clinic-based rehab restores movement and strength in the right order and helps you return to work and daily life.

Fracture & post-accident rehabilitation

Once a fracture has healed enough to move, stiffness and weakness are common. We restore joint range, rebuild strength and confidence, and treat pain after road accidents and falls.

Stroke rehabilitation & paralysis physiotherapy

Neuro physiotherapy after a stroke focuses on regaining movement, balance, walking and hand function through task-based practice. Progress is often fastest in the first months, but improvement can continue for much longer with regular practice.

Bell’s palsy physiotherapy

Facial exercises, muscle re-education and advice on eye care support recovery of facial movement. Most people with Bell’s palsy recover well, and the right exercises help avoid unwanted movement patterns.

Neuro physiotherapy

For conditions such as Parkinson’s disease, nerve injuries and spinal cord problems, we work on strength, balance, coordination and everyday function to keep you as independent as possible.

Elderly physiotherapy & balance training for seniors

Gentle, supervised exercise for older adults improves leg strength, balance and walking confidence and lowers the risk of falls. We also help with stiffness, arthritis and recovery after illness or a hospital stay.

Our approach

How rehabilitation works

  1. 01

    Review your reports

Bring discharge summaries, surgeon’s notes and scans so the plan matches your surgery or diagnosis.

  2. 02

    Safe, staged progress

Exercises move through clear stages, so you always know what comes next and why.

  3. 03

    Function first

Walking, stairs, getting up from a chair, using your hand: we train the tasks that matter to you.

  4. 04

    Family guidance

Family members learn how to help safely at home, and you get a written home programme.

Questions patients ask

Rehabilitation: your questions answered

When should I start physiotherapy after knee replacement?

Physiotherapy usually starts in hospital within a day of surgery. After discharge, regular outpatient physiotherapy over the following weeks is important for regaining bend, strength and normal walking. Always follow your surgeon’s specific instructions about weight-bearing and exercise.

How long does stroke rehabilitation take?

It varies with the size and type of stroke. The biggest gains often come in the first three to six months, but many people keep improving for a year or more with consistent practice. We set short, realistic goals and review them regularly.

Can Bell’s palsy be treated with physiotherapy?

Most people with Bell’s palsy recover fully or almost fully, often within weeks to a few months. Physiotherapy does not replace medical treatment from your doctor, but facial exercises and re-education help you regain control and symmetry and reduce the chance of unwanted facial movements.

Is physiotherapy safe for elderly patients?

Yes. Exercise is adjusted for age, heart and bone health and any medical conditions. For older adults, supervised strength and balance training is one of the most effective ways to stay independent and prevent falls.
