Back pain & spine treatment in Pitampura

Back and neck pain are the most common reasons people come to Endrophin. Dr. Bhawana Aggarwal (PT) is a spine specialist physiotherapist who has worked at the Indian Spinal Injury Centre, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital and Qi-Spine Centre. She treats lower back pain, slip disc, sciatica and cervical spondylosis with hands-on manual therapy and targeted exercise, without surgery wherever it is safely possible.

Every plan starts with a proper assessment of how your spine moves, what makes the pain better or worse, and what your work and daily routine demand. Whether it is desk job back pain, a stiff neck from phone use or long-standing lumbar spondylosis, you leave the first visit knowing what is causing your pain and what we are going to do about it.

What we treat

Spine conditions we treat

Lower back pain & desk job back pain

Long hours at a desk, driving and lifting without good technique overload the lower back. We combine spinal mobilisation, soft-tissue work and core and hip strengthening, and look at your workstation and sitting habits so the pain does not keep coming back.

Slip disc treatment without surgery

Most bulging or herniated discs settle with conservative care. Using graded movement, directional exercises, manual therapy and traction where it helps, we reduce nerve irritation and rebuild your tolerance for sitting, bending and lifting. If your symptoms suggest you need a surgical opinion, we will tell you clearly.

Sciatica treatment

Pain that travels from the buttock down the leg usually comes from an irritated nerve root. We calm the nerve with neural mobilisation and positions that ease leg pain, then build strength. You also learn sciatica pain relief exercises that are safe to do at home.

Lumbar spondylosis & spinal stenosis

Age-related changes in the lower spine can cause stiffness and leg pain on walking. Flexion-based exercises, mobility work and strength training help you walk further and stay active without depending on painkillers.

Cervical spondylosis & neck pain

Neck pain, a stiff neck, headaches and tingling into the arms are common with cervical spondylosis and long screen time. Gentle cervical mobilisation, deep neck muscle training and posture work relieve neck pain and help keep it from returning.

Frozen shoulder

Frozen shoulder moves through painful and stiff phases. Mobilisation, stretching and a structured home programme restore movement step by step, matched to the stage your shoulder is in.

Posture correction & upper back pain

Rounded shoulders, forward head posture and upper back pain often go together. We assess how you sit, stand and work, then build the mobility and strength that make good posture comfortable rather than forced.

Scoliosis physiotherapy

For teenagers and adults with scoliosis, specific exercises, breathing and postural training help manage pain, improve control and support spinal alignment alongside your doctor’s advice.

Tailbone pain (coccydynia)

Pain at the base of the spine when sitting can follow a fall, childbirth or long hours on hard seats. Treatment includes offloading, soft-tissue release, pelvic and hip mobility, and sitting advice.

Our approach

How we treat back and neck pain

  1. 01

    Detailed assessment

History, movement testing and a nerve check to find the real source of your pain. Bring any MRI or X-ray reports you have.

  2. 02

    Hands-on treatment

Manual therapy, mobilisation and soft-tissue work to reduce pain and restore movement early.

  3. 03

    Targeted exercise

Progressive core, hip and spine exercises chosen for your condition, not a generic sheet.

  4. 04

    Home plan & prevention

Clear advice on posture, sleep, lifting and work set-up, plus a short home programme.

When to see a doctor first

Physiotherapy is safe for most back and neck pain, but these symptoms need urgent medical attention. Go to a hospital emergency or see a doctor the same day. We are happy to continue your rehabilitation afterwards.

  • Loss of bladder or bowel control, or numbness around the groin or inner thighs
  • Weakness in a leg or foot that is getting worse
  • Back pain with fever, unexplained weight loss or a history of cancer
  • Severe pain after a fall or road accident
Questions patients ask

Back & spine: your questions answered

Can a slip disc be cured with physiotherapy?

In most cases, yes. The majority of people with a slipped (herniated) disc improve with conservative treatment, and a disc herniation can shrink on its own over time. Physiotherapy reduces pain, eases pressure on the irritated nerve and rebuilds strength so you can return to normal activity. Surgery is usually considered only if there is worsening weakness, loss of bladder or bowel control, or severe pain that does not improve with good conservative care.

Is physiotherapy good for sciatica?

Yes. Physiotherapy is one of the first-line treatments for sciatica. It calms the irritated nerve with specific movements and positions, improves how the nerve glides, and strengthens your back and hips. Many people feel a clear improvement within a few weeks, and we will tell you at your first visit what to expect in your case.

How many physiotherapy sessions are needed for back pain?

It depends on how long you have had the pain and what is causing it. Recent back pain often improves noticeably within 4 to 6 sessions, while long-standing pain, slip disc or spondylosis usually needs a few weeks of treatment along with home exercise. We review progress at every visit and avoid unnecessary repeat sessions.

How can I relieve neck pain quickly?

Keep your neck gently moving rather than holding it still, use a warm pack for 10 to 15 minutes, take regular breaks from your phone or laptop and keep screens at eye level. Slow chin tucks and shoulder rolls often help. If the pain spreads into your arm, causes tingling or weakness, or follows an injury, get it assessed rather than treating it yourself.

Do I need an MRI before starting physiotherapy?

Usually not. Most back and neck pain can be assessed and treated without scans. If you already have an MRI or X-ray, bring it along. If the assessment shows signs that need imaging or a specialist opinion, we will refer you.
